<p>Tissues of Ginkgo biloba have been successfully cultured to produce chemotherapeutically active diterpene compounds, ginkgolides (especially ginkgolides A and B). Ginkgolides can be recovered from the resultant callus and suspension cultured cells and culture medium via extraction. These procedures will provide a supply of chemotherapeutic agents.</p> |
