PURPOSE:To provide an engine case for a motorcycle wherein improvement of engine case rigidity in the vicinity of a drive shaft bearing and compactness of a bevel gear case can be simultaneously realized. CONSTITUTION:In this engine case for a motorcycle, an upper case 18a and a lower case 18b are integrally formed, and a top head part 41 of an engine case fixing bolt 28b for shaping the engine case 18 is buried in the internal side from an engine case surface 42 at the time of tightening the bolt to apply a counterbore 44 or the like to the engine case 18 so that a space 43 is formed between the part 41 and the engine case surface 42. A bevel gear case fixing bolt 25f for tightening a bevel gear case 19 to a side surface of the engine case 18 is crossed with this space 43.
