Mechanical testing and drying system for bottles - uses pressurised hot gas over defined time to reveal faults and dry bottles

Each bottle is fired for a definite time with a heated gas under a gas pressure between 1 and 10 bar, pref. 6 bar. The temp. of the air introduced into the bottles is about 250 deg.C. During the pressure testing or pressure relaxation phase, the bottle is flushed through with dry hot or warm air. The bottles to be tested are removed in the wet or warm state directly from the outlet of the bottle washing plant, whereby the residual moisture is removed by pressure testing.
