PURPOSE:To obtain the title fiber having specific physical properties, causing no decline in its water repellency by dry cleaning, etc., excellent in durability, useful for clothing, etc., by heat treatment at a specified temperature or higher of fibers produced by spinning a specific addition copolymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective fiber >=0.2 (atom ratio) in the F<1s>/C<1s> value determined by ESCA can be obtained by heat treatment at >=150 deg.C of fibers produced by spinning an addition copolymer from (A) a compound of formula I [R1 is H or methyl ; R2 is CmH2m (m is 1-10); Rf is 1-20C polyfluoralkyl] and (B) another compound of formula II [X1 and X2 are each H, methyl, Cl, CN, COOR or CONR1R2 (R, R1 and R2 are each H or lower alkyl)] such as acrylonitrile. |
