PURPOSE:To provide a nasotracheal administration emulsion containing a parathyroid hormone as an active ingredient and having good absorbability and high stability. CONSTITUTION:The objective emulsion contains a parathyroid hormone (PTH) in an amount of 10-10000 units per ml of the emulsion as an active ingredient. An azacycloalkane derivative of the formula (R is alkyl; m is 2-4; n is 1-15; but when n is 1-3, R is 5-11C alkyl), glycyrrhetic acid or its non-toxic salt as a absorption-promoting agent and water are further added to the emulsion. The compound of the formula and glycyrrhetic acid are added in amounts of 0.01-10W/V% and 0.1-5W/V%, respectively, to the emulsion. The emulsion is sprayed into one or both of nares once to three times for 1-2 days with a constant volume sprayer (0.05-0.1ml/stroke). The PTHs, are e.g. h-PTH (1-34)), etc., which are peptide having a serum calcium-raising action, a mol.wt. of 4000-10000 and a sequence comprising 34-84 amino acids.
