PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that can suppress arrival of liquid dropping from the upper side at electrical components in a main body unit, and further suppress troubles of the electrical components.SOLUTION: An image reading device 1 includes a reading unit 20 for housing a reading portion 3 for reading an image of a document and a driving portion 3M related to driving of the reading portion 3, a main body unit 10 which is provided below the reading unit 20 and houses an electric component C1, a first cable 50 in which one end portion 50A is connected to the driving portion 3M in the reading unit 20, the other end portion 50B is connected to the electric component C1 in the main body unit 10, and an intermediate portion 50C is wired from the reading unit 20 to the main body unit 10, a holding unit 100 which is provided to the main body unit 10 and holds the first portion 51 bent in a substantially U-shape and wired downwards from the reading unit 20 at the intermediate portion 50C of the first cable 50 at a position which is away from the electrical component C1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
