PURPOSE:To enable image synthesis based upon many kind of colors with simple constitution by using color component signals which synthesize a digital image signal to generate a select signal for an image. CONSTITUTION:When data is synthesized with main image data 11 and subordinate image data 12, a CPU 3 outputs a color select signal 24 for selecting a specific color in the main image data 11 to a comparison part 21. The signal is compared in the stage of the digital signal to generate the select signal 23, which is outputted to a selector 7. In this case, color component signals of the digital signal level constituting the main image data 11 are more in the number of kinds than those of the level of an analog signal outputted to a RAMDAC6 and when the color select signal 24 coincides with a signal in specific combination among them, the select signal 23 goes up to a high level. Consequently, specific colors are selected from much more kind of intermediate colors than a conventional device and usable to synthesize an image. |
