<p>The reference system contains three localisation rods, two base frames, two guide frames, three sliders, a needle holder and a needle holder fitting. Each localisation rod consists of discs (3-5), an inner tube (8) and an outer tube (10). Three rods are arranged about the patient, parallel to each other and on an investigation table to form the edges of an imaginary three-sided prism.
