PURPOSE:To obtain the permanent connector for optical fibers which can connect and fix optical fibers in several seconds. CONSTITUTION:This permanent connector is constituted of an optical fiber retaining part C which is formed by mounting and fixing an elastic body 22 to a part of a retaining body 21 consisting of a blank material having a small coefft. of expansion, a base body 4 which has detaining piece parts 7 capable of fitting and embracing the optical fiber retaining part C and consisting of a blank material having a small coefft. of expansion and a base part B which is adhered and fixed onto the base body 4 and consists of single or plural capillaries 5 having the inside diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the clad parts 1b of the optical fibers A. The optical fiber retaining part C is embraced and fixed onto the base part B, by which the optical fiber coating parts 3 and the optical fiber bodies A are press welded and fixed onto the base part B. |
