PURPOSE:To obtain a heat developable color photosensitive material which has high sensitivity and low fogging and excels in production aptitude due to an emulsion obtained excelling in dissolving stability with time of emulsion applying liquid by providing an infrared photosensitive layer containing a specific chlorinated and brominated silver emulsion. CONSTITUTION:At least one of infrared photosensitive layers having maximum spectroscopic sensitivity at >=700nm is provided and at least one layer of the above layers contains a chlorinated and brominated silver emulsion containing iridium which iodide is added after particle formation to prepare. The infrared photosensitive layer containing this chlorinated and brominated silver emulsion is spectroscopically sensitized using a thiazicarbocyanine sensitizing dyestuff so that spectroscopic sensitivity to light with wavelength 20nm longer than that of maximum spectroscopic sensitivity may be <=1/3 of maximum spectroscopic sensitivity. Thereby the color photosensitive material has high sensitivity and low fogging and excels in production aptitude in the infrared region.
