The silk screen printer has a doctor blade which has a core(1-3) of one or more layers of an elastomeric material so that it can deflect and exert an even pressure over the stencil. The elastomeric material of the doctor blade strip(11) is covered with an outer layer of ink resistant material. The outer layer pref.consists of the same material as the core but of increased hardness.the cover layer thickness is typically 1 mm.
