Gas pressure regulator in exhaust gas processing and storage system - provides PI regulation of gas to burners with exhaust gas processing stages coupled to proportional stages

In a steam boiler installation (1) of a power generator the gases from the burners are fed (3) through to a series of stages that carry out a cleaning process on the gases. The system has a filter (4) coupled to a HCL washer (6), sulphur dioxide washer (8), vapour cleaner (10) and finally to a blower (12) via a regulating throttle (13). The burner system is controlled by a PI regulator (16) with an input from a pressure sensor. Subsequent stages have proportional regulators (20,25,30,35). ADVANTAGE - Good dynamic control of pressure despite existence of adjusting element at end of regulation path.
