<p>A composition suited as the additive for an excavation stabilizing fluid capable of effectively preventing deterioration of properties due to inclusion of seawater or cement or bacterial putrefaction, an excavation-stabilizing fluid composition, and an excavation technique using the composition are disclosed. The composition suited as the additive comprises (a) a monovalent salt of an unsaturated carboxylic acid type (co)polymer of a degree of polymerization of up to 5,000 and (b) a compound selected from the group consisting of (1) a monovalent salt of aluminic acid, (2) an oxide of a metal of the group II or III, and (3) a salt of a compound of a higher order. The excavation-stabilizing fluid composition comprises the above-described composition, (c) an inorganic clay material and, if necessary, (d) a compound selected from the group consisting of a water-soluble cellulose derivative, a water-soluble starch derivative, a polysaccharide, and a derivative thereof. The excavation technique comprises excavating the ground with an excavator while allowing the stabilizing fluid composition to reside in an excavation part or to circulate.</p> |
