CELL FOR SEDIMENTATION ANALYSIS

The cell is used in research related to gravitational settling of polydisperse liquid systems, and is based on determination of shifts in the centre of mass. It provides increased measurement accuracy in a wide variety of cases involving polydisperse systems, by virtue of the fact that it has a higher sensitivity as a result of amplifying the vertical change in the centre of gravity during research of polydisperse liquid systems and as a result of the fact that cells of different geometric shape are used for different types of polydisperse systems-low-viscosity, high-viscosity, and monodisperse systems. The cell is an asymmetric to any plane geometric body that is flat on all sides but one. The cell cross-section consists of an isosceles trapezoid (ABCD), whose shorter base DC serves as the base for parallelogram DCEF, and the slanted side AD of the parallelogram and one side of rhombus ACEF form the segment AF.<IMAGE>
