<p>A device for improving the insulating property of a window afterwards by providing the same with an extra gas-insulated window pane (7) inside an existing window pane (6) achieving tight joints (13, 15) between these window panes (6, 7), at which a gas-tight, electrically conducting extra frame (8) with an inner and an outer strip of jointing mass (12, 14) is placed between the window panes (6, 7), the extra frame (8) and the extra window pane (7) placed on blocks (16) below on a window frame (5), by which contact means (22) from a current source can be brought into a space (25) between the window frame (5) and the extra window pane (7) placed in the frame by a gap (24) running around the extra window pane (7), and to be brought in contact with the extra frame (8) for heating of the same and of jointing masses (12, 14). An insulating gas after that is brought into the space between the window panes (6, 7) by gas-supplying means (26, 29) until the gas starts escaping through the venting means (27, 30), after which the venting means are closed. A jointing mass (17) after that is injected between the extra frame (8) and the window frame (5).</p> |
