摘要	In a method of manufacturing a commutator wherein a segment body 20 is preassembled and then extruded with insulating material 22, locking means 17 are formed on reinforcing rings 14, said rings being inserted axially into cutouts 13 in end faces of the segments 11 so as to secure the reinforcing rings 14 in the segment cutouts 12 against axial displacement, the locking means 17 engaging in punched out recesses 18 formed in the segments 11 at the cutouts 13.
