PURPOSE:To reduce the effect of a burst error and to suppress a required Eb/No low in the voice communication system provided with a voice coder and a voice decoder. CONSTITUTION:A voice coder 10 is made up of a voice coder 11 converting a voice signal into a digital signal, a cyclic coder 12 receiving the digital signal and applying cyclic coding to the signal, a convolution coder 13 implementing convolution coding. On the other hand, a voice decoder 20 is made up of a maximum likelihood decoder 21 applying maximum likelihood decoding to an input signal, an error detector 22 detecting a burst error in an output of the maximum likelihood decoder 21 and a voice decoder 23 decoding the signal into a voice signal while interpolating the burst error. |
