The machine incorporates pivotable tool holder arms (5) moving with contour-following movement around axes (6) parallel to that of the camshaft accommodation. On the holder arms, are tool holder holders (3) whereby the tool holder arms are pressable against the cams (1) of the camshaft (2) by articulately connected and suspended cylinder-piston arrangements with the grinding stones. The tool holder arms (5) with the pivot axes (6) are connected to toggle levers or eccentric devices which have their own drive. The forwards and backwards movement of the grinding stones (4) is produced by the movement of the toggle levers or the eccentric devices. USE/ADVANTAGE - For the fine grinding of camshaft cams with the machine operating in accordance with a process which excludes the blunting of the grinding stones.
