During conveyance of bottle caps (BC) in which flaps (18) formed on the inner circumferential surface of a circular band section (11) slant outward from the axial center (O) of the cap, the bottle caps (BC) are sterilized by irradiating an electron beam on the outer surfaces thereof. Then, the bottle cap sterilization and fitting method sequentially performs: an inner surface-sterilizing step for sterilizing the inner surfaces by bringing near or inserting a nozzle part (46N), which has an irradiation opening (46P) on the tip, in the open surface (14) of the circular band section (11) and irradiating an electron beam; a flap-bending step for bending the flaps (18) inward toward the cap axial center (O) and towards the upper surface (12); and a cap-fitting step for fitting the bottle caps (BC) on the mouths of containers. |
