发明名称 METHOD FOR SETTING DEPRESSION AMOUNT OF OPTICAL MATRIX SWITCH
摘要 PURPOSE:To securely obtain a connector contact position and to set optimum coupling pressure by monitoring the quantity of reflected return light at an optical connector coupling part which accords with the depression amount of an optical connector. CONSTITUTION:The light of a light source 1 is guided to the optical matrix switch 3 and while a movable master connector 3a is pressed in a fixed access connector 3b, reflection attenuation amount is monitored by an optical power monitor 4. The reflection attenuation amount versus the depressing amount is represented with a specified waveform (not shown in figure) and while, for example, the rotational amount of a stepping motor which is the movement amount (depression amount) of the master connector 3a is monitored under computer control, the reflection attenuation amount of the optical power meter 4 is monitored. Then the monitored waveform is differentiated to obtain variation in the reflection attenuation amount, and the depression amount of the optical matrix switch 3 is set by regarding as the point where the reflection attenuation amount does not vary regardless of the depression as an optimum contact point according to the relation between the variation in reflection attenuation amount and the depression amount.
