PURPOSE:To make transverse lines horizontal in all of the raster area in the case of the occurrence of unbalance between the center part and the peripheral part due to the pincushion distortion in the vertical direction on a projection television or the like. CONSTITUTION:Waveforms 8 and 9 outputted from a multiplier 5 by the waveform, where a vertical fourth-order wave 2 is superposed on a vertical parabolic wave 1, and the waveform, where the waveform resulting from multiplication of a horizontal saw tooth wave 7 and a horizontal third-order wave is superposed on a horizontal parabolic wave 6, are used to correct the pincushion distortion only in the peripheral part. Thus, transverse lines are made horizontal in all of the raster area. |
