PURPOSE:To prevent a bias electrode from being displaced in the direction toward the center of a developing sleeve, to stably supply a developing bias voltage to the developing sleeve and to form a developing image with excellent image quality by providing a flange member which is fixed to the end part of the developing sleeve and a specified elastic electrode member which is fixed and supported by the flange member. CONSTITUTION:The developing device 1 of a process cartridge is provided with the cylindrical developing sleeve 5 and the flanges 15L and 15R engaged with both left and right ends of the sleeve 5. The bias electrode 12 integrated in the left-side flange 15L is made of a metallic elastic body and a spring part 12a on one end thereof has spring property. Besides, it is made to slidably abut on a ring-like electrode plate 17 with prescribed force and electrically conducted to the plate 17. A spring part 12b on the other end of the electrode 12 is made to project from the outside circumference of the sleeve flange 15L and press-fitted to the sleeve 5. Besides, it is elastically brought into contact with the inside circumference of the sleeve 5 between the inside surface of the sleeve 5 and the outside surface of the flange 15L and electrically conducted to the sleeve 5. |
