The invention relates to a device for transferring printed circuit boards (C) or the like. It comprises supports (10) essentially constituted by mutually orthogonal support members (12 and 14). Holding elements (16) capable of receiving the edge of the boards are located on the support members. The support member (12) makes an angle (a) with the horizontal in such a way that the other edge of the board (C) is engaged in the holding elements (16) of the second support member (14) by gravity. Very precise positioning of the boards is thus ensured, whilst producing a very small surface area for gripping the board. <IMAGE>
