PURPOSE:To lighten a pneumatic tire without reducing its air pressure keeping ability, by composing an inner liner layer inside the tire, of vinylidene chloride- vinylchloride copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A carcass layer 2 is mounted between a pair of the right and left bead cores 1, and an inner liner layer 3 made of vinylidene chloride- vinylchloride copolymer is formed on the inner surface of a tire, inside of the carcass layer 2. In this case, after laminating the inner surface of the green tire made of unvulcanized rubber with the inner liner layer 3, or spraying or applying the solution of the copolymer or water type emulsion thereon, this green tire is vulcanized. As this inner liner layer 3 is not permeable to air, the weight of the tire can be decreased without reducing air pressure keeping ability. |
