摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of the phase unevenness of a light emitting element on the distance measurement of the title range finder so as to improve the distance measurement accuracy the range finder by making the main optical axes of the light emitting element and a light receiving element coincident with the optical axis of a distance measuring optical system and positioning a light splitting prism on the optical axis. CONSTITUTION:A distance measuring optical system is formed by positioning a light emitting element 6 on one reflecting optical axis O1 of a rectangular mirror 4 provided in the rear of an objective lens 2 and light receiving element 8 on the other reflecting optical axis O2. A reference optical system is formed by positioning a reflecting member 10 between the mirror 4 and element 6 on the optical axis O1 and another reflecting member 10 between the mirror 4 and element 8 on the optical axis O2. Each member 10 and 12 is composed of a light splitting prism having a half mirror and mirror surfaces which are parallel to each other. When a switching shutter 30 which selectively intercepts the distance measuring or reference optical system is provided to the optical systems, the influence of the phase unevenness of the element 6 on the distance measuring accuracy can be eliminated and the optical axes can be easily made coincident.
