PURPOSE:To provide the multistage thermographic printing plate which enables thermographic printing varying in height with just one sheet of the printing plate, facilitates the production of this printing plate and does not require much labor and the process for production of the printing plate. CONSTITUTION:An original plate film 7 given the information on multiple parallel lines for each of regions is formed by dividing an original manuscript 6 of continuous gradations. Resist patterns are formed and etching is executed by using this original plate film to form the thick parts of the thermographic printing at the widened interline spacings of the multiple parallel lines and to form the parts where the build-ups are formed low at the narrow interline spacings of the multiple parallel lines, thereby the multistage thermographic printing plate is obtd. Then, the ink holding amt. is changed by the interline spacings of the multiple parallel lines and, therefore, the execution of the multistage printing from one sheet of the printing plate formed at the same plate depth over the entire part is possible. Since the production of the printing plate by one time of etching is possible, the production of the printing plate is extremely easy. |
