PURPOSE:To reduce the operation of a mate and to safely navigate a ship by automatically plotting a route on a chart by inputting preferential informations about the position of starting/arriving places, a departure schedules time, an economical navigating speed and an arriving scheduled time. CONSTITUTION:At the time of inputting the starting/arriving points and the starting/arriving scheduled dates/times, the route is automatically plotted on the chart screen to make a navigation schedule. Then, necessary information such as average speed, expected fuel consumtion quantity, etc., is simultaneously inputted to support the navigation schedule. When the schedule is decided, it is registered in data bases 2 to 4. While navigation, the chart is usually displayed on a display 8. Of course, the line of the route prepared by the navigation schedule and that of actual navigation are shown on the chart. In order to navigate on the line of the route of the navigation schedule by obtaining information of latitude/longitude from a satellite, each control signal output device 9 sends a control signal to various machines to automatically operate the ship. |
