PURPOSE:To provide the silver halide photosensitive material good in vacuum contact performance at the time of contact exposure and superior in transparency after processing. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material is characterized by containing in an upper nonphotosensitive layer an organic polymer having a partial structure represented by formula I and having an average particle diameter of >=1.0mmu prepared by a suspension polymerization process. In formula I, A is a repeating unit obtained by polymerizing a monomer having at least 2 ethylenically unsaturated copolymerizable groups in the molecule; B is a repeating unit obtained by polymerizing a monomer having one copolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group; and each of x, y, and z is a percentage of 1-40, 30-99, and 0-65, respectively.
