PURPOSE:To inexpensively detect the use amount of the ink in an ink cartridge by a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:(N) fusible resistors R1-Rn are provided to an ink cartridge 10 and fused at each production printing operation time due to a timer by the VP power supply from a transistor 13 for fusing the resistors and the fusion number of the resistors is read by a CPU 3 through an input port 16 to judge the use amount of the ink in the ink cartridge 10. |
