PURPOSE:To obtain a molded object with an insert fitting embedded without an occurrence of a post-molding crack by a method wherein a crosslinked norbornene resin molded object having a prepared hole for inserting an insert fitting is molded and, thereafter, an insert fitting is inserted to the molded object. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a crosslinked norbornene resin molded object having a prepared hole for inserting an insert fitting is molded by a RIM method in which a reactive stock solution containing a norbornene monomer and a metathesis catalyst is injected into a mold to be block polymerized. Alternatively, after the reactive stock solution is molded, a prepared hole is formed in the obtained molded object by cutting or the like. After that, an insert fitting is inserted to the prepared hole of the molded object. In this manner, a norbornene resin molded object with fitting can be obtained. All norbornene monomers having norbornene ring can be used. |
