SHIFT CONTROL UNIT FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE:To prevent shift shock generally by providing an engine control means which controls generation torque of an engine so that fluctuation in output torque from an auxiliary transmission can be prevented. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary transmission 4 is feedback controlled by a feedback control means so that a gear ratio shifting rate of the auxiliary transmission 4 follows a target gear ratio shifting rate at shifting to specified speed. Under the control of this feedback control means, generation torque of an engine 1 is so controlled by an engine control means as to prevent fluctuation in the output torque from the auxiliary transmission 4 according to differences between a changed direction of the gear ratio shifting rate Gs of the auxiliary transmission 4 and the set direction of the target gear ratio shifting rate Gst line. Generally this constitution can prevent shift shock more effectively.
