MANUFACTURE OF COAXIAL DIELECTRIC RESONATOR

PURPOSE:To improve the Q of the resonator by reducing dispersion in the resonance frequency. CONSTITUTION:The resonator consists of a cylindrical or prism dielectric body having a hole for a center conductor made in the middle and of a conductor being a line, a short-circuit end is formed at one end and an open end is formed at the other end. The manufacture of the resonator consists of a 1st process in which a metallic pipe being a center conductor is inserted into a hole made in the lengthwise direction of the outer conductor in close contact with a dielectric ceramic by the method of the sliver flit or copper plating or the like and of a 2nd process in which the metallic pipe is deformed through the application of a pressure from the inside of the pipe and made in close contact with the inner face of the dielectric ceramic to form the inner conductor.
