The present invention pertains to an organopolysiloxane with the following general formula and a method for the preparation of same: <CHEM> where each R is independently selected from monovalent hydrocarbon groups, R<1> is a divalent organic group having at least 2 carbon atoms, each R<2> is independently selected from monovalent hydrocarbon groups that are free of aliphatic unsaturation, X is selected from hydroxyl and alkenyl groups, and n and m are both integers with values of at least 1.
