PROCESS FOR RECOVERING PEPTIDES EXPRESSED AS FUSION PROTEINS

A process for recovering peptides which are expressed as fusion proteins comprises solubilizing the fusion protein and subjecting it to proteolytic cleavage, the improvement comprising citraconylating free amino groups prior to solubilization, thereby both to enhance solubility of the fusion protein in conditions conducive to proteolytic cleavage and to improve yield.
