PURPOSE:To protect a flexible pipe for the tilt from any damage caused by cold weather with a simple means. CONSTITUTION:A pipe protecting device is provided with a reach leg oppositely extending forward from the lower part of a machine table, a weight lifting machine including a mast and a lift cylinder, and moving along the reach leg, a lift bracket 14 ascending and descending by the weight lifting machine, a fork 31 pivotally supported to the lift bracket 4 through the lift cylinder 20 so as to be tilted forward and backward, and a flexible pipe 30 to be connected to the tilt cylinder 20 while going around a hose reel moving together with the lift cylinder. Circulating flow of operating oil is conveniently promoted inside the flexible pipe 30 by interposing a relief valve 50 bypassing to a bottom side pipe line 26a in a rod side pipe line 26b near the tilt cylinder 20, so that the flexible pipe 30 may be prevented from any damage caused by cold weather.
