摘要 In controlling an extrusion device for aerated or foam products, the aerated material which is present in the extrusion device (4) under a slight pressure is expelled when the extrusion nozzles (5) are opened (6). After a required time interval, further aerated material is delivered to the device from a storage vessel in which a higher pressure is maintained. This material experiences a drop in pressure as it enters the device and is then expelled via the extrusion nozzles. When the nozzles are closed, the flow of material into the extrusion device is maintained until a valve (2) is closed. This valve is opened and closed automatically (3) on a time-delay basis. Also claimed is a device for carrying out this procedure, in which a pipe (I) connecting the extrusion device to the storage vessel is fitted with a valve, and pref. a throttle valve (2). USE/ADVANTAGE - In the prodn. of products from aerated materials such as e.g, chocolate sponge cakes. Breaking down of the structure of aerated materials with densities less than 0.3 g/cm3 is prevented.
