The airship comprises nodal bodies (12) with mountings, into or onto which peripheral and lengthwise members (13, 15) fit, forming a latticework hull. Tie ropes (14) engaging with the bodies clamp the members against them, so as to form a three-dimensional latticework structure in conjunction with the hull.The members can be of closed hollow triangular cross-section, engaging with mating mountings on the bodies, and the base (27) of this cross-section can be towards the outside of the hull. The bodies can each be in one piece, with a rib (22) protruding towards the hull interior and containing an eye (23) for engagement by a tie rope. |
