PURPOSE:To provide a picture data processor capable of substantially reducing block distortion. CONSTITUTION:For instance, the coder device of the picture data processor executes linear transformation whose object is even picture elements inside blocks to picture data read for the respective blocks from an input picture memory 11 and the input picture memory 11 for storing input pictures. A linear transformation device 12 for outputting the picture data for which the block distortion amount is reduced by the linear transformation to the input picture memory 11 is provided and the linear transformation is executed with the plural picture elements including the picture elements present at the boundary of the blocks as the object. |
