摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a solid photopolymerizable compsn. having shelf stability and a photosensitive element having improved reaction to active rays and forming a hologram having improved luminance by incorporating a specified polymer binder, a specified liq. ethylenic unsatd. monomer and a specified photoinitiator system. CONSTITUTION: This photopolymerizable compsn. is a practically solid photopolymerizable compsn. forming a refractive index image by exposure with active rays as a single processing stage and consists essentially of 25-75% thermoplastic polymer binder soluble in a solvent, 5-60% addition polymerizable liq. ethylenic unsatd. monomer having >100 deg.C b.p. and 0.1-10% photoinitiator system activating the polymn. of the unsatd. monomer by exposure with active rays. This compsn. has refractive index modulation of at least 0.005 determined using radiation of 632.8nm from a transmission lattice having about 1,000 lines/mm spatial frequency. This transmission lattice is produced by holography from a layer of this compsn.
