PURPOSE:To provide a display device capable of reducing the light leak from an indicator, making the information provided on the indicator easy to see, and improving the display quality of the information by successively thinning the end part of the indicator toward the outside. CONSTITUTION:A display device, which is provided on a combination meter of vehicle, for example, and used to display determined information as alarm display, adapts the following constitution. Namely, in a device for lighting a light source 4a arranged on the rear side of a tell-tail lens 5A as an indicator, thereby displaying the information (e.g. 5a) provided on the indicator 5A, the end part 5s on the front side of the tell-tail lens 5A is successively thinned toward outside. Since most of the light emitted after reflected in the tell-tail lens 5A is emitted from the end part 5s to the front because the end part 5s is tapered, and a slight quantity of the light is emitted from an end surface 5f, the information is made easy to see. |
