DESIGN-ADVICE FORMING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To produce excellent design by providing an advice presenting means for responding to information generated in response to an inquiry and giving a comment to a designing document including advices so as to improve a designing process. CONSTITUTION: A designing assistant 103 is a computer program interacting with a designer in order to give the designer's access to related information from a design knowledge base(DKB) and consists of an inquiry provider QP and an advice provider AP. An advice provider AP part indicates related information such as a design advice DA 121 to the designer as an advice. This advice becomes a comment 108 to a comment designing document 106. In addition at the time of judging DKB 104 to be imperfect or inaccurate, the designer can propose addition or correction to DKB 104. This proposal 109 also becomes a part of the comment designing document 106.
