PRODUCTION OF AROMATIC NITRO COMPOUND

PURPOSE:To obtain an aromatic nitro compound bearing ester group(s) by nitrating an ester group-bearing aromatic compound so as not to cause hydrolysis of the ester group(s). CONSTITUTION:The aromatic nitro compound can be obtained by nitrating of an ester group-bearing aromatic compound such as a phenolic ester or benzoic ester in the presence of ozone with a nitrogen oxide so as not to cause hydrolysis of the ester group(s).
