<p>A face protector (10) for shielding the face of the wearer while permitting observation and pivoting of the shield toward and away from the face comprising: an elongated flexible band (40) of absorbent padding sized and adapted to be fitted about the forehead; a first elongated flexible stiffening member (30) attached therealong to a corresponding confronting portion of the band (40); a second elongated stiffening member (20) having a length greater than the first stiffening member (30) and pivotally attached to the first stiffening member (30) at corresponding end portions (24, 25, 36, and 37) of the stiffening members (30 and 20) so that the stiffening members (30 and 20) are spaced apart when the band (40) is fitted about the head.</p> |
