PURPOSE:To easily fetch and use a processing procedure stored in a host computer through a communication network on a work station side even by an operator who is not familiar with the execution procedure. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 1 is equipped with a processing procedure file 6 in which the processing procedure to be promptly executed on the work station and a file name are stored, and a processing management table 5 in which the work station name and the pertinent file name are stored so that they can correspond to each other. Then, according to an instruction from an inputting and outputting part 2, a processing management table preparing means 7 is activated, and the preparation and update of the content of the processing management table 5 is operated. When a processing procedure transmission request instruction is outputted from a work station 10A through a communication network 8 to the host computer 1, a data processing part 4 identifies the instruction, searches the file name of the pertinent processing procedure from the processing management table 5, reads the processing procedure of the pertinent file name from the processing procedure file 6, and transmits it to the work station 10A.
