PURPOSE: To obtain a compd. to produce or recover the color of hair or skin and to shield hair or skin from sun rays. CONSTITUTION: This comspn. for hair and skin contains alkyltyrosine ester expressed by formula I (R is 1 to 6C alkyl), tyrosinase and if necessary a reaction product with crysteine as effective components and has an effect as a coloring agent/or sunscreen. The weight ratio of the compd. of formula I to cysteine is preferably 1.33:1 to 2.0:1, and the reaction product is, for example, 5-crystinylalkyl-dihydroxyphenylalanine expressed by formula II, benzothiazinylalkylalanine expressed by formula III, and the respective modified compds. expressed by formula IV and V produced by cyclization of side chains. When the compd. is used before the reaction, the compd. of formula I and tyrosinase are separately housed in containers to make a kit, or prepared into a signal compsn. comprising microcapsules of each component. |
