HORIZONTAL DEFLECTION CIRCUIT AND CATHODE RAY TUBE EMPLOYING SAME

PURPOSE:To provide the horizontal deflection circuit by which consecutive S-shape correction compatible with multi-scanning used for a device such as a computer display device is attained. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal sawtooth wave current generating circuit is made up of an output transistor(TR) 26 and a coil 32 or the like, a horizontal sawtooth wave current flows to an S-shape capacitor 33 connected in series with a horizontal deflection coil 31 in an opposite direction to a horizontal deflection current and a power supply voltage of the horizontal sawtooth wave current generating circuit is controlled so that the horizontal sawtooth wave current being a difference of the currents flowing to the S-shape capacitor 33 is proportional to a square of the horizontal deflection frequency. As a result, the horizontal parabolic voltage of the S-shaped capacitor 33 is proportional to the horizontal deflection frequency and a ratio thereof to an average voltage in the S- shaped capacitor 33 (S-shape correction factor) is constant independently of the horizontal deflection frequency.
