PURPOSE: To obtain a coating layer capable of preventing sparking and having a mechanical strength required from the mechanical stress produced by a magnetic head by arranging an antistatic layer of photothiophene below or above a transparent magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION: An antistatic layer of polythiophene is arranged below or above a transparent magnetic layer, and the material is formed with a transparent film substrate having at least one photosensitive layer on the front and the transparent magnetic layer on the rear. The polythiophene should be polyethylene dioxy thiophene, and the polythiophene contains the anion of polycarboxylic acid or polysulfonic acid. More preferably, the magnetic layer containsγ-Fe2 O3 as a magnetic pigment, and theγ-Fe2 O3 is doped or surface-treated with cobalt.
