PRODUCTION OF WATER FLOW-INTERLACED NONWOVEN FABRIC AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To provide the subject method and apparatus therefor enabling interlacing or fiber splitting without developing dwelling water on and inside a fibrous web. CONSTITUTION:The objective water flow-interlaced nonwoven fabric can be obtained by suction of the dwelling water on and inside a fibrous web using a suction box 10 provided with (A) a drain port 11 located at a point under a highly pressurized columnar water jet nozzle and (B) at least one drain port 11 located behind and/or before said point. This nonwoven fabric is excellent in quality, being free from formation disturbance such as offensive glittering.
