The present invention relates to watering systems for animals, especially poultry. According to one embodiment, it comprises a fixed beam (1) including at least one arm (1a, 1b) at the free end of which a dispensing device (3) can pivot. The said dispensing device (3) consists of an annular channel (9) to which are linked, on the one hand, a plurality of drop-by-drop dispensers and, on the other hand, a column (11) the upper end of which can, when the said dispensing device (3) pivots, exert an ascending vertical force on a control member (4a) of a valve (4) in order to cause it to open, the said valve (4) being linked to a water supply.
