This invention relates to a device intended to be positioned for instance in a machine or a vehicle to facilitate getting up into or stepping out of the same, the device being designed in that way that it can take partly an active position, partly an inactive position, the device in its active position being intended to function as a ladder, which comprises a plurality of steps. According to the invention the device is characterized by the combination of the following features: the device comprises a space (2) into which the ladder (1) is displaceable for taking its inactive position, and out of which the ladder is extractable for taking its active position; each step (5-12) is an integral part of a unit (13-20) which is articulately connected with an adjacent unit, whereby the ladder (1) can take different angles in relation to the vertical line and be varied regarding the length. |
